B5 TI Ops Plano Campus, Exceeds/Meets 1.6% salary increase $6k bonus, 125 RS - all lowest of last 10+ years. What is the point of striving to be exceeds rated?

I invite anyone to go ahead and prove the point to themselves. Go to career search, filter to job level = H3. Now browse the results. Some of these jobs pay max $261,900 (some states have transparency laws and you will see on the right the salary range listed) but if you are in GM or GCIB in NY the range is $450k-$450k. This is why LOB and location matter when you are sharing comp anonymously.

@1k3 edit: ARE getting the shaft.

There’s no dispute that the comp policies at this place are completely insane and not at all based on performance as they claim HOWEVER- with zero context of role, location, or total comp this thread is useless.

I started as a B6 with a bonus and was still a B6 when they scrapped that and rolled it into my salary - it may feel unfair but believe me, you’d be making less per hour if you were still bonus eligible so I think the point the B5s and above are trying to make is to at least be thankful for the predictability because as a current B4 manager I’ve seen 5 consecutive decreases in a row all while the bank claims record earnings.

Bottom line, very few people in the grand scheme of things aren’t getting the shaft, esp when compared to inflation. And just because someone posts they have a bonus higher than your annual salary doesn’t mean it’s actually true. I have a hard time believing a B3 making 200-300k total comp a year is wasting their time posting their salary on this site.

@102 You’re right 25 years and still only a B6 in an FC level role is your own fault. Either become a manager or you should’ve left a long time ago.

@yc As someone with similar tender, this has bugged me for a long time. How upper management completely disregarded long tenured associate when doing this increase min wage promotion of theirs. Absolute BS

@wg A little selfish aren't we... B5's are not the only ones singly getting shafted. As a B6 with 25+ years at BOA, I do not recall getting an individual performance bonus like what was reported on this thread. Furthermore, high tenure B6's and B7's are the ones that are really getting the shaft with no bonuses. PERIOD. The annual dollar raises for NEW HIRES for the last five years, DOES NOT MEAN THAT tenure B6's got the same raise per year. Today, I am getting $26/hour. My pay increase will be 3.5 percent which equates to a whopping NINETY-ONE CENTS. Other tenure B6's in my group are getting the same treatment. In the end, it appears that upper management is giving everybody the shaft in one form or another.

@hn a few years ago bonuses were scrapped for b6s and rolled into the salary. So you get your bonus every year in every paycheck. B6s also got bumped to $25 an hr. The real people that have been shafted are B5s. We get no pay raise, year after year. We pay full price for medical but not making big bucks.

This place su-ks as been with the bank for 15+ years. My bonus was between 13k to 16k but the last 3 years each time the bonus was slashed reduced by 1/3, despite record profits. WTF. I been doing the work of 3 people as others leave or caught in the last Nov rif 2 years ago. No backfills. Stupid high meets my ar-e! What BS! Taking my sabatical and I am out of here in 2026. That the only good thing!

@gx = B3 and up bonuses are 70%-90% of those su-ky RSUs that go down after being granted and then down again right before vesting.

So they tell you your Bonus Comp is "X", but it's not by the time it vests.

Oh, you have to stay 4 years to even get it as it only vest 25% over the next 4 years.

If we leave. we lose the su-ky bonus.

Much rather have cash!!!

@h7 "while B6 and B7 can’t bonus at all and get pennies for raises is wild"

B6 for over 25 years and I am expected to talk to customers as if I am an expert. However, B5's in my group do not want the responsibility. Recently, my manager informed our group that when we make a mistake, it costs the company money. Knowing this, I do not care if I make a mistake because it takes a little from the top. Reading some comments on this thread makes me want to puke as some bonuses are basically a third or half of my salary.

Maybe jealous, but not right for B6 and B7 not getting bonuses. Now my attitude has changed a little with less compassion to the customer. When I give my retirement notice within a year, I cannot wait for the B5's to start taking those phone calls. In my group, we have a staff shortage so the B5's will have to step up eventually and talk to those customers. As the phrase goes, this is why they get paid the big bucks.

It’s not all cash for B3. It’s a 70/30 split with cash/RSUs for anything above 50k.

@fg Truly, I don’t care what your role and responsibilities are when getting a 50-100k bonus while B6 and B7 can’t bonus at all and get pennies for raises is wild. B5 gets a little $1,500 to shut them up and Managers saying “we worked so hard to get this for you” is insulting. Without lower level associates, none of this work would get done, yet B3 and up are basically getting their salaries as bonuses and have the nerve to complain about every little thing
