PluralSight being used to get rid of people?

Is the PluralSight training and assessment tool going to be used to fire people? I have a technical category that may have fit my job description when I got out of college but doesn't really reflect what I spend the majority of my day on. Now I spend my days in meetings or navigating the labyrinth of policies, procedures and tools FIS requires. I've always had good reviews but now I have a feeling, I will be substandard. Is anyone else paranoid?

I will not take an assessment conducted over a live call like a school classroom exercise. At least in school, teachers were usually prepared—this feels improvised. If this is the standard we present to external clients, it reveals a troubling pattern.

When was the use of Pluralsight Skill IQ Assessments announced? Could someone explain a bit?

@a5 I guess firing people that are incompetent makes a change from just firing people because of a job title. Many of those recently made redundant/fired had years of excellent work behind and in front of them but were seemingly let go because of a title. Hope the new tool is accurate.
Like many others, so much extra time is taken now to fill out forms etc etc to get changes in, which impacts the time available to do actual work.
Forms that are approved by people that don't really understand what they are approving...

Pluralsight Skill IQ assessments, which score technical skills from 0 to 300, can be used by employers as part of broader performance evaluations or termination decisions.
Stephanie will now just fire you for being incompetent thus avoiding severance.
