Thread regarding Pearson PLC layoffs

I've heard in roughly 6 months a big restructuring is going to happen re marketing. Potentially put in teams that do one very specific function (presumably for the wider company? not sure) rather than our departmental teams like currently - and some people let go if they have too many of people who can do x skill.

I would honestly start looking for other opportunities and update your resume etc. Just so you're ahead of things if something happens. Especially if you're in a country where labour laws aren't favourable to the worker.

I heard from a very good source a major restructuring of the sales force around seven weeks before the summer regional meeting. The meeting will be used to get new teams together and discuss new roles and lists.
