My early 50s don't have much of a chance to start up again somewhere else. Time to stock market casino time and roll the dice with what I have built up. Do or die time.

Why they programmed us to think that you have to work till you are in your late sixties to be able to retire? People wake up!
Early 50’s? You have up to 15 years before retirement. Better prepare yourself, you’re not riding whatever wave you’re on for 15 years.
Don't sell yourself short. 50 its the new 30's. Lots of jobs out there.
@OP Don't be stupid. Unless you are a complete dolt, being in your 50s is an excellent time to find work. There are tons of small companies that are looking for experienced employees. The state is an option as well. They don't want a bunch of Adderall addicts so you will find opportunities. Retail and finance are ripe for people in your age and beyond. KPMG pays bucks for experience. Accenture or Infosys, not so much but you kind of have to be bilingual to work at those places.
In fact, AT&T is about the only place I know where there is this crazy age thing. 40 is old. That's funny because the older guys can leave and the company will still su-k. But, the trained monkeys like throwing p-o. Anyway, att su-ks. you can do better.
I’m moving to Hawaii.
Aloha.
@ax the company cares. The more people who decline to move the worse position they’re in for transition. I’ve seen whole teams decline to move and suddenly they no longer need to move.
Nobody is moving to Plano! Texas S U C K S!!! The move to Plain-o will never happen bc it’ll never be built.
Nobody cares about you and your choices.
Bet on KBLB
Enjoy your retirement
See you at the Walmart peepaw.
