Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I been working at Ford about a year now. Can people tell me how I can apply to other internal Ford jobs?

My goal is to find another Ford job where I am not required to produce any kind of work.
I just want to come into work late and leave early. During the day I want to be left alone and take hour walks around the building several times day.

So, I'd like to know what other internal Ford jobs I can apply too that meet my requirements of having to produce no tangible work.

Any updates, were you able to find a position like this? If there are more positions in this group, please let us know. We’d love to join.

@1pp I’m pretty sure this is a fake post. It reads like something designed to boost productivity by framing an extreme caricature of “lazy employees” as if it’s a real thing happening at Ford.

The subtext seems to be discouraging internal moves by associating them with laziness, rather than legitimate career or workload concerns.

@hc Based on the number of recalls, it seems like that job of not doing anything is already taken in those roles here at Ford. We "broke" records last year! Perhaps they can consider HR or a leadership role?

Yes! Someone said the quiet part out loud, this is easily the funniest post on this site. You can't help someone that's so far gone with their own bitterness, I do wish I could help. It's not cheating, really, you might be surprised what you learn. I really want to talk to this guy to figure out what's going through his head when he posts this, at the same time it's sort of Sad. We've all done boring jobs in life, but it surely makes for a long day if you're stuck in that situation.

@hp

Need to quit hiring those LCC software engineers then. Cut back on the H1-B with fake degrees and watch that change.

@hc I’m not sure if the manufacturer’s quality is the issue. It appears that most of the problems we’ve encountered are software and part-related. When was the last time you heard of a recall due to product assembly?

@ek The Lincoln Motor Company neither accepts nor tolerates employees of this caliber.

And some people actually complain when Ford has performance cuts, after we made mistakes by hiring people like the OP.

Notice the response to this obvious troll post was regarding model e.

Epitech isn't sending their finest. The managers still get their kick-backs, though. The Americans in Long Beach are going to learn a harsh about the real Ford.

OP, please keep your low effort behaviors outside of Model e or any other critical Ford organization. We do not need employees like you here. You should be embarrassed of yourself.

To get a job like that, you have to be smarter and more subtle than you've demonstrated here. Looks like there's no hope for you.

Psha. Rookie.

Well, see, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh heh - and, uh, after that I just sorta space out for about an hour. Yeah, I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

I think senior management would be best for you. You could review the Penske files.
