@ac errrrr i’d be careful about the USB ask, then you are creating a record with IT, i work in marketing so not sure if everyone has access to Egnyte but you can request an account in workfront (thus, not IT) and move files there to download at home
Depends on what they’re downloading and why, like i have some project decks and wrap reports i’d keep to use for my portfolio and i put those on egnyte and downloaded at home but not going to take giant spreadsheets with data, or RPA stuff - just what i could use for future interviews and such.
If "personal files" means your work files, those are owned by the company. If you mean actual personal files, it's not a problem to remove those. In fact, you should proactively get those off your computer right now because it's a work device not a personal laptop.

You have rights to take your personal data. You need to do it ahead of time. Go to IT, ask to open USB port for 24hrs. The. You can copy your data. If you try to copy TMUS confidential data, the app will stop you.

Lame attempt to try to intimidate people from accessing what they're entitled to access, which may be used in a lawsuit later on down the line.
