Has anyone heard if they are taking away company cars? If so who does this affect? What levels?

Story of my life
Just what I wanted out of my career. Wait a minute it’s not a career anymore it’s a job
Is it me or does it feel like we’re always waiting for bad news from PepsiCo. Sadly all these cuts are going to create poor morale which doesn’t drive positive results. Avalanche of cr-ppy news
My plan is to drive my 2002 Mazda Miata, worth about $1,200, for roughly 5,000 miles a week across my large territory. I’ll keep detailed records of my trips so that if I’m ever audited, I’m covered. I want them to have documentation telling me to visit customers less and spend less time with the field sales team. I’m going to double my income with this deal. F’em.
Those TSL jobs are terrible; it seems like they didn’t want to leave the kams behind. LOL
Cars are a great deal. I went from an SDL to an FSR and got a raise a few years ago. When they started cutting our bonus with a waste calculation no one understood, I took the double bonus in FS and got a car. Sc--w them.
process already started in Spain, they start to reach out to us individually.
@j3 got you one better. Everyone having to buy their company car should get a Coke red color car. Parking lot will light up on meeting day
@j1 better yet. Taking a client to a work lunch and asking them if they mind driving. I might just get a corvette, who knows. Might have to be a 84 though
@hs LOL!! I can see it now. Showing up at client sites driving a bucket that backfires :D
Everyone should be able to get a real nice car with $7500.00.
Phone calls being made with no details besides company vehicles being taken away by September all must be turned in. Rumor is $7500 if you turn in asap and the amount drops if you hold on to the vehicle longer. Tuesday big announcement coming.
Just don’t trust the process. Those of us who’ve clung to the belief that good things were ahead need to reassess. During a four-hour drive, my manager told me we wouldn’t be here in five years—and if I was fine with that, great. It was her way of saying no one really cares. She explained that the only reason we’re both still here is because we get along; otherwise, we’d already be gone. The people at the top are genuinely good, but the SVP/VP level is just keeping the show running without really knowing what’s going on, according to her.
Not the slightest bit surprised. Just waiting for my call to hear when I have to give up it up and the details. Can’t wait to hear what’s next on the cost cutting agenda
Hearing all this and knowing several people who’ve left, every slight feels like another move they make without any respect for me as a person. I know it won’t stop. I’m planning to tap into my network for a new role. I just don’t like it here.
Back in around 2019, one of my retail bosses retired and told me they planned to strip every cost out of the system over the next 10 years. He said to expect Gatorade to merge with Frito and beverages and have just one A call, lose your company car, and eventually be shifted to merchandising 10–20 times a year during busy periods, like retail workers do. He was spot-on with every prediction. He also said the people driving these changes simply move on to the next one, with the ultimate goal of cutting all costs from North America’s field beverages and snacks until there are no full-time frontline employees left.
Sounds like to me that customer visits just went way down
Yep they will be taking all employees cars will be phased so will be through September 2026
Once Frito and Pepsi merge they’ll have half as many cars to take.
Continue to take and continue to lose good people and you’re left with the worst performers.
In Europe as well in 2026
Every company car is getting taken away, no one will have a company car going forward. They will be taken back in phases through September.
Everyone who has a company car is losing their car
@ay frito? Pepsi? Both?
Yes, I heard Kams are losing their vehicles..
@af share the details please
Just got off a call about this and I know at least food service is affected.
Heard the same. No details
