Zayo is laying off about 15% today. Another successful period by the inept people in leadership positions.

Ha you got CL as your COO. Every company this guy touches goes south. VZ, GoogleFiber, Crown, now Zayo
@ekw The solution is to get rid of all the management after the supervisors. No need for most of the ones that have Manager, District Manager and District Director in their title. Throw in the useless “Safety person” as well.
Only until next week
How long do us crown folks have before we are let go?
One thing I know for certain, is that the field personnel for Crown are not just remote hands. They actually know how to configure network elements and some of their senior techs are more like network engineers. Not sure the same can be said for existing personnel here.
FYI—Most of the former lightower staff is based in Melville, NY (Long Island) and some in Boxborough, MA. Former Sidera folks are also considered lightower since 2012/2013.
@bp9 The solution is to get rid of the former lightower staff a few months in.
@3c5
You are 100% Correct, but don't blame Crown. They Bought Lightower. And for dramatic effect, it is that management team that somehow infests and destroys every company they come in contact with. I could name names but don't want to get too personal. These MF-ers will destroy this company.
Are these layoffs true? How many people roughly and through out all departments?
That’s completely false in my market. Not sure what market you’re in or used to.
To the people that survived good luck. The incoming clown castle personnel have giant heads on their shoulders. They will try to change everything to run stuff their way and will bring in their buddies as soon as they can. The management has done the same thing to every company they have bought.
The field personal are short staffed and over worked but are generally good.
The “fiber engineers” are not worthy of the term and make many costly mistakes as they just sit in the off everyday and hire contractors to make up the splice plans and then splice. There is no QA.
