@ax You do know how your statement was very non specific right or was this rhetorical
@b7 This is ridiculous. Not saying the company cannot conjure up something but to go out and tell managers that “oh we are not laying anyone off with severance” we are just going to fire this 10%. Now maybe Charlie is getting his influence from Trump after all he is moving to his hood and all. However, they did reserve for severance.
What is even more humorous is that i am responding to the ridiculousness
Managers were told no more severance package for 2026.
I was told 2 or more consecutive IM such as mid year and year end.
fired
@as
I was told i meet my duty but not proactive, without specifc.
I am over 60 and actually plan to retire soon. Hopefully I can get a package. That will be gift to me
You should know why you got IM. If it was RTO then yeh exceed the minimum requirements. If it is performance related …..just cross your fingers but if there is a reduction you may be hopefully reduced with severance. I don’t believe with IM they can fire you without severance. The people i know were give informal warnings then warnings then written warning then a PIP then the door but they still may have gotten severance
@a5 Well one BIG reason is RTO. If you can’t manage to meet the minimum requirements and share in the corporate shared values blah blah blah even tough the first paragraph says that you did well in performance then comes the BUT you are not a team player because you didn’t meet the minimum days. They are not even evaluating hours per se. So yep. If you dont come in the office and your manager does not sign off on your remote status you probably should be going in now 4-5 days to show the job really matters. Otherwise well……..
what is IM?
But will IM lead to layoff or fired?
Everyone I knew with an IM rating is gone.
Hate to say it but you are on borrowed time. Godspeed
Normally they should put you on PIP, but is 2026 normal?
They will be looking for any excuse to just fire people vs paying severance.
Clocks ticking for sure. They are going to the trouble of giving a bunch of IMs for no reason.
@OP Several examples this week of first time IM folks being shown the door.
