Anyone know for sure what the policy is these days. I have heard that you're notified, two weeks later last paycheck and prorated 2023 bonus, no severance.

I know for fact that if I'm laid off, my severance package is 104 weeks of pay due to my tenure with T. There's nothing ambiguous about the contract cuz it's spelled out in black & white!
Severance policy is unchanged for now, let's stop spreading falsehoods.
Not true, some union contracts pay up to 104 weeks of severance if you have 31 years of service or more...YEAH, Baby!!!
It all depends on your employment status. All bargained for are covered under current contract wording. Otherwise management is covered under management serverance policy which can be found on One Stop web site. Last I knew management was 5% salary for every year service to max of 6 mo. Pay. Most union contract have shorter period, like 30 or 40 days.
Uh huh...right! That's only gonna happen in your wildest and wettest dreams and not the reality of it! SBC just doesn't make VTP offers like this! It's not in their DNA and never has been! You can dream all you want and call all the deniers jealous or whatever, but you're only dreaming!
If you are a bargained for employee and can wait until March, you will receive an enhanced offer of 5 years to age, 5 years to service and an additional $5,000 per year of service. The Union is aware of it and it’s only the scab troll on this site that’s the offer denier. Probably just jealous.
Our group was notified the week before thanksgiving there would be layoffs in January. So that’s just about 60 days warning. Actual individuals impacted will be told mid January and off payroll 2 weeks later 1/31. As for severance, each state has different laws, do your research, do not rely on only HR website. You may be entitled to more than you think.
I am surprised the severance limits haven't been reduced during the last couple of years.
2022 Bonus payable in 2023, that payout is usually announced just after the BoD meeting.
Bonus is paid same time for current and former employees.

Legg said at the townhall that there would be the "standadrd severance". The HR person was also there and mentioned the normal 2 weeks per year with a 6 month cap.
