They have no authority to do anything. Many came up from craft years ago. But things have changed. There’s a lot of room to cut payroll. The irony is that the azz hole that created the problem is now the CEO. When is John Stankey going to be held accountable for his incompetence?

The coaches are totally useless especially the Atlas team are so incompetent.

@ck I know of several ADs with over 30 direct reports. That is insane.
You are incorrect. The L2 ADs are actually overwhelmed with work. They have to do all of the personnel related tasks, reviews, coaching, counseling, etc. They also have to provide project status and presentations to the L3 to send up the chain.
They have cut at this level for years, resulting in an almost unmanageable number of direct reports.
It’s L3 and up where cuts are needed. And they will have little/ no impact on BAU operations.
Office L2’s are the equivalent of craft L1’s. They are the worker bees. You all really need to realize that. Except the office workers don’t have a union and CWA won’t even talk with us about forming one.
FWIW a good boss shields everyone from the bs and pushes back. A bad boss, salutes and follows all the rules and doesn’t care. We have a lot of the 2nd one.
We are very necessary. You are not intelligent enough to realize that. That’s why you are a 1st level still.
Think of L1 & L2 as craft jobs with a lot more responsibility and none of the protections. Folks on those jobs are the life blood of the company. They are also the first ones to get the notice to leave. Why- because they have zero protection. Bottom of mgmt so they don’t have good ole boy connections to ensure job security.

You know why they get paid more?
Because they do a lot more.
First of all every FTE should be a stock holder. Second only L1s and L2s do anything here. L3s are just like L2 ADs. Many L3s do not bring any innovation.
