I see that new job postings in KTD have stopped and there might be a hiring freeze in place which is a strong signal for layoffs in KTD!

I heard a rumbling that in q1 there are going to be contractor layoffs, FTE is supposedly safe.
@b7 yes the pain and misery will pay off when I can spend nearly a full year bonding with my child instead of saving Kroger millions or slaving for some other corpo.
@a2 yep I'm basically not working and hoping I get my year of severance during next cuts. I've been here 15 years and have survived nearly 10 attempts. I used to bust my a-s but now I don't give a cr-p about this company.
We've been in a hiring freeze for years and the few roles that do get posted never get filled because of below market wages and on site requirements. It won't last, they'll cave eventually but the mess will take years to correct
Most companies free hiring in Q4 while figuring out budget
Stop waiting on layoffs. Jump if you want to jump! Yes, there will be layoffs - whether it’s traditional reductions in force (Aug. 2025), forcing us back to inconvenient locations 5 days a week, reorgs, etc.
I get it, get laid off…get the severance. But is it really worth your mental well-being?
The grass might be greener somewhere else (or not) but why let the company decide that for you?
@ag kinda goes against the whole hiring freeze though
Seems that all of KTD is short staffed, I don't see any layoffs coming within the near future.
dont hiring freezes mean layoffs usually a few months out? Was expecting to see some this month
Honestly as long as I get severance Im okay with it. This place has gotten to a point where the quality is terrible and its a constant ax over head.
