What is 18A yield? They did not boast it, it does not seem good.
The improvement of Panther Lake is compared with Intel old process technology. It is still falling behind competitors.

The 18A products and related yield data will help various companies decide on future IFS contracts.
It does seem that the yield ramp has been slower than projected, so there will be some scrutiny on 14a progress.
At the least 18a helps the company continue to offer viable competition, after falling so far behind that they had to eat the cost of using TSMC for leading edge.
So even with yield issues, this should help gross margins.

And on January 28, someone will discover a major flaw in them, stock will plummet, shareholders will cry, manager in charge will be promoted and "fail up", business as usual for Intel.
