Does it seem like most new Technology hires (senior level) are from Bank of NY? From what I understand after talking to some colleagues over at BNY, they weren't sad to see them go. Now they're WFs problem...

The Borg.
Who you know or how many diversity boxes you check have been the primary two qualifiers for employment for decades now.
It is exactly that, and I will definitely say that SG is WF’s problem now…
We’re not particularly sad to see them go for the most part, your problem now
It's always been who you know. We had many old timers years ago and it was largely the same thing-- people who had been around promoted their buddies.
This latest phase of hiring is mainly senior people bringing in their buddies from JPM, BoA, BoNY, Truist, etc. And funny thing is that we're not getting their "A" list people for many of these hires.
@cz Yeah. I know them as "seagulls". They all fly in as a flock, de-----e all over the place, and then leave as a flock... I'm familiar with the BNY folks that recently flocked to WF. The sooner they get the flock out of there, the better!!!
In the Animal kingdom they are called Scavengers.
They usually come from Bank of America, then Bank of New York, Now at Wells fargo.
They greedily consume all Value that the host has.
Many of us at the Bank have worked to add value to the bank.
Now the scavengers greedily take the value, and add nothing.
No innovation, no progress.
Once they have sold or destroyed most of the Bank they will move on to the next host.
Personally I am sick of it, and I cannot wait until the Federal Government raids and fines Wells Fargo. FWF
Have you lived in a cave? It's always been a who you know for 30 years.
