Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

With all the cuts, who do they think is left to work?

We're already covering two or three jobs each. What's the plan? Do they expect the remaining few to do four or five people's work until everyone burns out? What happens then?

He does not care. He will be gone just before the whole thing blows up.

Take any of the GenAI "training" courses at WF, and you'll quickly see why executives think AI will change the productivity level of everyone. If you happen to do knowledge work rather than deal exclusively in summaries and communication, you can't easily be replaced by AI, but that will not stop the psychopaths in charge from trying to make it happen.

The most amusing part is, good AI prompting requires almost as much typing as actually writing the thing yourself. AI really only helps if you're just garbage at wordsmithing.

With AI, you will be 10 times more efficient, so you can easily cover 5 times your current work.
