Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Got a 3 rating and 4 rating

Hey there!

Just got my miserable rating of 3 and another 4 rating. Does it mean I gotta an overall rating of 4?

I also suppose there goes my chance to even transfer to another team even if the promise of no PIP?

No need to say about incre or pathetic bonus, just looking survival at this point of time

As mentioned in another post….

“ First, its by design. Its a tool a means in which to exhaust you enough to where you proactively leave so that they don’t have to pay you severance.

Second, you’ll start hearing something along the lines of “if you don’t like it, leave”. This is a statement that affirms several things at once. They’ve got you right where they want you, scared and desperate. This re-enforces that you should be happy to have a job and don’t ask for a raise. It demonstrates to others that they are in control and not the employee.

What are your options? Just two. Its either you do nothing OR you meet their challenge and leave and work somewhere else. While posting here may be a temporary stress reliever, it’ll get you no where. Oh sure, you’ll have like minded colleagues chime in with supporting words but at the end of the day, nothing will change and you’re still left with only two options.”

Another poster here said they're from HR and that you can still transfer/post internally even with a Rating 4.

If your manager said No PIP, but you need to improve in the next 3 months, this is a hint that after 3 months he/she may put you on a PIP.

He's basically saying you have until the end of March 2026 to find a new job out of Citi or out of his team/department.

Face it. You need to start looking for a new employer, outside of Citi. As challenging or painful as that might be, it's better to be aware of this reality than keep denying it to yourself and hope beyond all hope that your manager will change his/her opinion about you, you won't be placed on a PIP, your work situation will get better, etc..

Hope for the best, but DEFINITELY PREPARE FOR THE WORST ! And the latter means start job searching externally NOW, since it looks like you didn't start doing so when you already should've been 3+ months ago !

Not all relationships or marriages are meant to last or be forever. That's why Divorce is always an option. ALL relationships can turn on a dime at anytime for a variety of reasons. Your best friend may be your best friend today, but maybe not tomorrow for various reasons.

@ch

Nope, was told no PIP but have to shown improvement in next 3 months

This really su-ks big time as I had applied for internal transfer days ago, now I hopping the hiring manager will even grant me the interview

Should I go to HR and ask if internal transfer is still available for me given my ratings (3 & 4)?

Sorry to hear. You’ll likely get no bonus. Did you get put on a pip? I don’t recall if a 4 prevents internal mobility technically but no hiring manager is going to hire you unless you have a connection

I’d look for a job asap. Use this new year to get the he-l out. Don’t let this place define you

Do Not submit/click acknowledge in Workday until you write your comments/rebuttal. Writing and thinking through what your comments/rebuttal are, why you disagree with the low rating, proof or examples of why you shouldn't be low rated, etc. may take a few days to write. But it's important that you do NOT simply click submit/acknowledge, else Silence is acceptance, agreement and participation.

Can your ratings be changed at this point or after your rebuttal comments ? NO. But at least there will be a record of why the Ratings are wrong or unfair. This has probation value for the future.

If you foolishly/Stvipidly already clicked Submit/Acknowledge, your other option is to STILL write the comments/rebuttal. Again, it may take a few days to write but it will be valuable and cathartic.

Email the finalized rebuttal version to your HR Business Partner, located at the bottom of your name in the Global Directory. If you have No designated HR Business Partner, Open a Case/Ticket in Workday and send it that way. Again, at least there will be a record of why the Ratings are wrong or unfair. This has probation value for the future. I would even send it to cc, Sara Wechter and go that high up !

Be aware that HR in any company works for the company/employer and NEVER for the employees. HR, Legal Dept., Compliance Dept., etc. do NOT work for the CEO, much less the lowly employees. Regardless, write and send the rebuttal email as detailed above.

@ax ok, Slaves didn't get paid or have benefits, or have the ability to pick up and go work somewhere else, or any kind of free will for that matter. It's pretty shameful and entitled you would compare yourself to that kind of human horror. Some of you are so entitled it makes me ill and don't realize you are part of the problem.

For the rest of the thread, your total rating is a 3.5. Having a 4 rating in one category puts you at a huge risk. Expect a PIP and be managed out. If you get fired you will not get severance. Start looking.

@ar I am not sure, I am on the same boat, and I am quoting here the statement my manager made " It's my evaluation,u agree means submit the acknowledgement, don't agree.. doesn't matter".. I literally don't understand where are we actually working, it's sounds like those slavery days

What would happen if I don't submit? Can my manager/HR be able to submit or close and there I lost my chance of entering comments?

Sorry I don't understand,in workday putting comments (attaching documents is no more possible)and then acknowledging that had a discussion - is that rebuttal?
Creating a HR case without acknowledging or submitting is that rebuttal?
Or not acknowledging or submitting is that rebuttal?
whatever comments u put in workday while submitting it's just word as you can't submit proof, doesn't matter I believe

As others posted on this site, you should rebut and reply in the Workday comments section how and why you disagree with your Ratings. Stating or showing evidence of work and other proof will help your situation.

Can your ratings be changed at this point or after your rebuttal comments ? NO. But at least there will be a record of why the Ratings are wrong or unfair. This has probation value for the future.

Silence is acceptance or participation. Do NOT be silent !!!
