Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Who would join a company with this reputation?

How are we still hiring people? What are they telling candidates to make the job sound good, now that the word has gotten out about all the cr-p we go through on a daily basis? I can't see why anyone would accept an offer here right now.

Anybody with skills who likes good pay.State Farm is a great place to work. I've worked at numerous fortune 500 and fortune 50 companies. Claims is just not the place to be, in any insurance company. So maybe it's where you're at and not the company.

@OP
Anyone get an email for a task to complete " Review Distribution of documents or Tasks" Titled Auto Expectation Document-Annual only to see if was canceled in WD.

Well it was seen prior to it being canceled. It's a zero tolerance policy with no exceptions. No reason to let you go. So here we go folks. Hold on the rides about to get bumpy as he-l....

Never (Ever) take a job in Auto Claims.

Oh State Farm is the home of the Whopper with Extra Cheese! Home of the Whopper lie, well over the last decade plus that is all that this company has done to its employees is lie, lie and tell more lies. You know how we can tell when our Executives are lying? Their mouths are moving. This whole company since Ed left is built on a lie.... day after day! Sad thing about it there are so many "true believers" that they actually believe their own lies. They think if you say it enough it will become the truth. Most of the TMs are pretty decent because they get lied to all the time too but only so much they can do. Once you realize State Farm and almost every other corporation is built on lies, the better off you will be!

Delusional response. That’s like telling someone with a college degree to take a job at Burger King and sticking it out for 5 years to become the manager at Burger King. There are many other paths to take in life rather than wasting your years at a place like this. And also, offshoring jobs and ai will almost certainly eliminate the possibility of a good future here in 5 years.

Oh it’s because they blatantly lie in the hiring process, full stop. I can still remember my interviews from a little over a year ago. I even got a weird gut feeling from my first recruiter and spoke to a different recruiter to ask more details. Both of them flat out lied about the job id be doing and hid all of the negative aspects of this place. Despicable.

Great company. Off you are young you can move up to leadership in five years. Work hard. Do what they ask. Give it your all. Great career.
