Looking like Lumen is heading in to 2026, while under the Microscope!

Exactly. The ai sees red or green. If it sees green you start over fresh. If it sees red your boss is contacted and a “plan” is implemented.

Your not wrong, and besides the write up and termination process is all HR automation now, I don't think your immediate manager initiates any of those actions as it's all based on metrics which are compiled by automation.

They have significantly raised some of our metrics for this year, I see that as an excuse to can those who can't meet them. Oh well, two more write-ups for me and I'm out. Got written up several years ago and I don't think they roll off.

@p4 as ATT and VZ have about 235K employees all together they might have laid off more employees then all of Lumen at about 24K.

@jf there’s more real truth about the companies situation in that article, than the feel good self indulgent platitudes coming out of any investors call or All hands meeting.

And the real truth is what affects jobs, not wishful thinking.

The sad reversion to the worst practices of Level3 seems to be Lumen’s fate. They will ignore all the high margin customers in the midsize market and deal with the big deals from large corporations who have an entire staff focused on negotiating with companies like Lumen. Margins will shrink as the incompetents in senior management scratch their heads and say it’s a tough business out there. While they are dumping midsize customers that Bandwidth.com is scooping up and growing 30% a year…

Att and Verizon laid off more technicians than Lumen by 10x.

CenturyLink should have just left well enough alone, not wasted $2 billion on a rebrand, used that on improving the network, preparing for the future, and not selling off everything it owns to stay afloat. Look at AT&T and Verizon, they didn't change with all their mergers. They made improvements and prepared for the future. When you put Executives at the top that think they're God's and know what they're doing they ruin companies. You would've thought they learned their lesson from Qwest. I guess not. Lumen is tanking.
