Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

When will we see the 401k deposit match?

Will it be Jan 1 or are we looking at a few months?

to the person who retired on 10/1 and did not get the match, that means you are younger than 65 and did not read the retirement packet. They clearly lay it out all out. You get few financial protections ages 55-64.

I "retired" in September at age 55 but really went to another company. I made sure my signing bonus covered the loss of the 401k match and annual bonus. And I jacked up my 401k contribution at the new place.

You also can't put a dollar value on leaving that toxic place. Everyone i know who left Wells has no regrets.

I retired on the October 1 2022 from WFHM. Sure enough, just about that time Chuck decided about 401k match. You do not get it if you were not employed by December 15th 2022. Match was applied after December 15th. I felt like I was cheated. I worked my but for 16 years, and on the end, Chuck took my 401k match for 2022, just like that …. Was this even legal ? This decision was announced shortly after I left.. If they announced it in timely manner, I would definitively wait with my retirement and leave after December 15 in order to get my 401 k match….

@iwj+1kddL1kw You're a joke. I, in no way shape or form agree with the current configuration of the 401k match but usury? You clearly have no financial prowess or command over the dictionary available to you at the very same device you use to post here. I needed this laugh and confidence boost today. Thank you. I don't claim to be the most intelligent individual in the world but it's nice to know there are fools like you out there that make me look awesome.

WF isn't the only bank adding the matching funds to your account on an annual basis.

The thieves will hold onto the cash and earn interest on YOUR money as long as they can.

Guys, if this isn't a reason to take the money and quit in the New Year, WHAT IS?

This is usery... they are using your money, holding it hostage, while you slave away making them richer. Charlie wipes his a$$ with what you're waiting for to land in your paltry retirement fund and he give zero s#!ts about you.
