Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Chevron lost the plot

There was a time when working here meant something. Now the dominant emotion is exhaustion. Pride has been replaced by fear and trust is all gone. Whatever made this company special did not survive the last few years.

@d9 those commercials are so ironic. They should be telling the USA how many jobs they have created in India and other low cost countries

I remember back at the beginning of my career when everyone had to wear masks and respected people's boundaries. Now everyone just crowds in next to you on the elevator and comes inside your office even when the door is shut and don't use sanitizer. What happened to the old Chevron

Not the same company. Changed drastically during Covid. If you are still employed pay attention as they are making things more uncomfortable to get you to leave before next round of layoffs. They are working on strengthening workforce overseas. Once that is stable US positions will be redundant. Stay alert and look elsewhere to get a job where you are wanted.

This company exists to provide ridiculous comp to the top folks. No, not to the majority of the staff nor the shareholders. Let’s just keep doing commercials saying how great we are.
