It is my first year in DXC and I was surprised to hear there is no 13th salary, no bonus, NOTHING for Christmas. It is the first company I worked for that has such policy, all my colleagues have bonuses every quarter (or at least twice a year), here - nothing. Is it some kind of one time miss due to the hard financial situation or company policy not to care for their employees?

If you were lucky enough to work at FDS Warton then you got a tub of Celebrations.
@a1 The last time I got a bonus was in 2015, before Meg Whitman ran HP and then HPE off the rails. I left DXC in 2024.
I remember getting 2x mince pies in the post.
And they were out of date !
I' m long gone from Csc/dxc but looks like it really has gone downhill from my time there.
It was originally a BAe thing, the ten pounds Christmas bonus. The Christmas Parties had free drinks - at least for the first round. CSC kept that going with 2 large country regional parties and if a local party was held by staff themselves, the Account Exec would put £1000 behind the bar. But this all differed by region.
In early 2000's the CSC parties were removed as too costly, the bonus was stopped and instead they sent everyone a Christmas Card. By 2010 they only sent a PDF photo of a card to your works inbox and by 2011 this became a jpeg. I know because I got a red 'x' file_not_found card from CSC, which I duly printed the 'x' out with the CSC head office footer and I hung it on the wall. My first "IT" Christmas card complete with error.
By the time DXC took over, we had to start work before we went to bed, work overtime without pay, dream of parties, and hear of friends who had real bonuses from real companies. pay reviews? Ha ha. Only, some fancy words that were used as a carrot which eventually wound shoved up our backsides, together with the stick!
We got told to be grateful for the 'festive atmosphere'. If you were lucky, it was a jpeg of a holly icon on a head office email announcing a seasonal round of WFR. If you weren't lucky you were told to clear your desk before Christmas Eve. Everyone else lived Christmas in fear. You couldn't work if you didn't want to use holiday and you'd lose a week every Q4 to make the end of year figures look good.
And you try telling that to the new hires of today...
They won't believe you.
No Christmas Bonus, ever. I worked there for 7 years and Holiday parties were banned. If you won’t let your employees have a holiday party, you definitely aren’t going to give a bonus. I read people who still work there complaining they have to use holiday time if they want paid time off over the holidays. Seems like it’s gotten even worse. Maybe parties are allowed in low cost countries, but not most places. Pathetic excuse for a company.
You didn’t do much research as DXC has never given bonuses to regular workers , only the executives team
Is it me, or has DXC at long last cottoned on to this site, with people (understandably) complaining about management, and they've tasked HR (et al) to 'like' the company? Otherwise, why are there so many up arrow posts for entries which clearly complain about the current leadership? They won't win...
Bonuses do get paid to Raul, Kaveri, the Executive team and some layers for delivering yearly declines in the company revenue.
The rest of you are deemed not worth paying a bonus, whatever good you do.
Its a openly bent system without any shame.
@aw That is a very rude answer, man. Nothing in the contract stipulates there is no bonuses at all, only "possible bonuses will be paid at employer's discretion". I understand they are not obliged to do that, but it is the only company I know of, that IN FACT do not pay bonuses
If you have been here just a year you are probably making more than most of us... So stop complaining
@OP welcome to DXC!! None of the above I’m afraid. Can’t even say ‘Happy Christmas’ in an email. Just the woke Happy Holidays BS.
Next time read tour contract, how this could be a surprise for you? Or you are just poking another hate avalanche? there is no xmass bonus never was. As far i remember back to HP days.
The company makes $650 million a year, your bonus and pay raise gets paid to Rahul, and his friends at the top. They fly around the world, wine and dine, meet up with friends. Apparently Rahul has been to India recently on a outing.
You will get nothing, all the money goes to the top execs and friends and they will lie that there is no money.
Please take out your boss for Christmas lunch and pay for it. The management deserves it.
Lol was never a csc or dxc thing. Maybe HPE did something different.
No bonus, no Christmas extra, no paid for drink or food.
No pay rises.
Enjoy the rest of the time with the meanest company in the world.
