There are usually layoffs in the first quarter of the year. Should we be expecting it this year as well?

@aj — another mid manager drinking the cool aid? Org changes are envelope #2. First the new guy has to get past the blame predecessor (or external forces). Once that card has been played report will follow within 24 months. Reorg is code for layoffs or “non regrettable attrition”
Elliott management squeezes all the money out as they can. This time it will be for shareholder value and not dividends. Mark my word. Within one or two years I can get the shareholder of value up.
Y’all laughed about the target he said for the shareholder value. You better believe that he’s gonna be very aggressive and within one to two years. There’s definitely gonna be a lot less of us and I expect a culture to be gone. Well, you can fill in the blank and figure out how that’s gonna be done.
I have a feeling we’re gonna either be filing for bankruptcy after you get the stock price where they want it. If this doesn’t happen, then it’ll be a big merger, and all the old culture will disappear. By relocating us to a low-cost region or whatever else they have planned for us.
Luckily for me, I’m close to retirement. You guys will be like the rats that were on the Titanic. Remember when the ship was going down, the rats were trying to run up to the higher decks. Eventually, as more water comes in. The rats will drown. Just like you guys will, it’s over. I hear the fat lady singing.
layoffs expected right after they use bankruptcy to clear the debt that will be in the fine print of the separation contracts. ask garrett how that played out
@b0 when are the next two spin-offs set to close in 2026?
2026s of the year I’d be nervous. Cost cutting and reorganization.
Plant consolidations
Reorganization of pay scales
Plant closures
Streamlining
Less people needed per department even in office positions.
You’re gonna be a really interesting year. Let’s see what they do after the spinoff is done.
Honeywell only has layoffs in months with at least 28 days.
If you work for Honeywell, you should expect layoffs and furloughs at any time. Doe silly if it looks like they won’t make the quarter.
No. Org changes are made. Layoffs due to performance however will continue, as always.
