Confused on what the last day is if you are apart of the lay offs. I was told the 20th and now it’s the 31st. Which is it?

Verizon laid me off and no one else hiring me … making me tiring… … whooo la la whoo la la … I haven’t make anything close to hans severance package while working my whole life whooo la la … whoo la la. What should I do… what should I do … whooo la la … whooo la la
I was pulled into my managers office yesterday and she told me that I was now having to stay until the 31st. On the call that we got on Nov 20th it said my last day would be the 20th of dec and my schedule reflected that up until yesterday. I was a little confused and don’t mind staying. I figured I’d reach out here to see anyone else had that happen to them.
I feel only top performers retained in Verizon. Really a place to work for. Hats 🎩 off to those who are retained.

@OP check your separation letter (that you signed off) for your off-payroll date. That is your official. Signature is the seal or ask your HR.
Whatever day you want it to be. Not like your really working anyway.
