They did an audit of processes and found discrepancies in the policies so the independent company gave them action plans 32 to fix and so UHG is saying : look at us we are transparent and committed to fix our problems. Hence they laid off the audits teams. More to come as these changes need to be completed by March 2026. It will all look good on paper .
Plus in the audit they found that their authorizations are too slow. Heard they are behind over 13000 cases so probably they will have to increase productivity numbers again.
It means uhc will get away with anything - "independent audit" - doubt it
