AIG claims is a complete sweatshop. The senior VP and the VP under him are as toxic. Steer clear. They say they have a commitment to a field claims team and Friday they just announced they're taking all the cars away from the field claims team. How do you say you have a commitment to a field claims team and then take away the cars and not give a car allowance to the field claims team. As soon as the STI bonuses paid at the end of February the entire field claims team is gone.

Stay away. AIG is swirling the bowl. It is a complete sweatshop. Once bonuses are paid at the end of February, most field people will resign.
Best be careful. Your STI (whatever that means? Bonus?) could be zero after your comment.
Really?? I've been with AIG for four years now and cannot say enough good things about the company. Sure, no company is perfect but AIG presses most of the right buttons. There has to be justification for the removal of company cars. Is there less of a need of a need to use them? Has a policy changed whereby most of the claim work can be done inhouse? If so, why should the company foot the expense where it's not economical? I suspect AIG is still paying mileage and personal car usage monies to you?
AIG claims is a horrible place to work. High turnover results in frequent file transfers. The day the file is transfered to you, you are immedately responsible for any mess left behind by the prior handler. Sr. management has no idea what is going on at the claim handlers level.
