@4v3 finance are so good at shifting the buck with absolutely no idea what Illumina actually do, like legal and compliance. That being said no commercial leaders actually understand the market opportunity so they can’t articulate future needs, all they can do is be reactive while they polish their CVs to jump off to another role.

Ah.. . The strategy at Illumina is: pitch a big change to get job security.
The directors in our finance systems are so 'smart' that they failed to maintain a quality system, blamed others for their own bad practices, and are now milking the company—reducing employee benefits to fund a system replacement.
