Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

The Dell culture.

The Dell culture has taken a turn for the absolute worst. I’ve never seen anything like it. They allow complete disrespect go unanswered by HR. Breed a toxic and narcissistic management environment. Allow for people to just sh!t all over each other without consequence. Their management is ignorant, insulting and arrogant. I’m waiting for a meeting at some point to just break out into a brawl as people are getting to that point.

@ar Agreed, notice Arthur Lewis swearing repeatedly during his all hands recently? I swear like a sailor, but not when I'm giving a recorded all hands that will be viewable by thousands of employees. We should be mature enough to know the time and place. And 100% driven by JC (look at the talk he gave to CSG a couple of months ago, as an example).

It's a boiler room mentality with MD and JC lead hucksters.

I was blatantly disrespected by my sales leader in several meetings in front of customers/partners to the point that someone contacted Dell HR Anonymously and reported it. After several calls from Dell HR to several others on my team who experienced similar abuse, nothing was done. Instead we were laid off in the last WFR!!! Toxic culture is indeed the new norm at a Dell! If it’s not for you, time to get out or develop a real thick skin and su-k it up!!!

@a6 honestly I would say JC’s use of profanity during his talks that are recorded and shared, is leading the way to make others feel like it’s acceptable.

Negativity is all there is. GTO now Tech Office is a sinking ship. KB no longer the director or even a manager but his toxic negativity is slowly ki-ling those left from the original team. Used to be an elite group but it is now a joke. RIP EMC culture!

I attended a meeting in Austin last week where a Dell employee presented on new technology. I was surprised by the amount of inappropriate language used throughout the session. During a 30-minute presentation, he used profanity multiple times, despite managers and several women being present in the audience. I am unsure how this level of unprofessional communication is being permitted.
