QA Centralization and Displacements

Have there been any displacements yet due to the centralization of QA?

Is QA really back? I thought that it is a forbidden word at Wells according to management in our lob. I see that jobs are being posted with QA in job title…. What can I say, this is a weird company that is being ran by branch of incompetent “leaders”.

I hate to say it but anything related to QA is likely to be replaced by AI. They reduced so many years ago i thought the function was already gone.

They cut QAs years back.

They underestimated the value of QA, especially as they expected developers to test without knowing developers didn't unit test half the time.

Centralized QA?

I guess it's always cyclical. When Chainsaw first got here, all of QA was laid off, then they were rehired but put on dev teams instead of QA teams. Now they're going back to a centralized QA model?

What revolutionary reorganization.
