I appreciate this broad point, but seriously: has anyone ever "heard the old saying in the world of IT - 'Go native or go home'?"

...you're talking about IBM buying Confluent for $11 billion? I was wondering that myself ; they said Follett Aspen is gradually moving away from Apache Tomcat® server so I don't know how that's gonna work out.
