I know it's a little sad, but I am desperately looking forward to that week. It feels like the only thing getting me through this month. I don't even remember when this job started being so bad for my head. I just know it is.

got in another argue because I asked "friend" of PO to deliver something.. so fu-k it all.
I think I will quit after new years or just stop doing anything and wait for WFR
truth! i am so depressed, its so sad. so thankful for the break.
Enjoy while you can in a meeting we were told next year there would be agressive cost cutting and layoffs
Yep -- me too -- need the time off from this he!!hole and it's absolutely ridiclious leadership. There are meetings I just won't go to if they're going to be there because I don't want to waste my time listening to them or being subjected to their mor*nic thoughts and ideas. This is a very dark time for Dell and I just don't see them getting out of this rut.
To the OP..You should use your benefits and get some help. A job, any job, should not weigh that heavy on you to the point that it sounds like...good luck
yep, the only benefit of working at Dell. Most people save their vacation and end up with three weeks, or close to it, during the end of the year. Most will be gone starting Monday through the end of the year. Heck, even the Indians take the Christmas break now. They take Dewali and then they take Christmas. That's double dipping, but hey, their allowed apparently. So , you will be refreshed for the new year only to get a pink slip shortly within a month's time. It's a good time to learn how to become a plumber or an electrician.
I was asked by my manager where my self review was, and I said it was in the same place where results of tell dell had been stored. He freaked out and was screaming like a pig in a sla-ghterhouse.)))
At least you get a break.... In support we're running 24x7 and it's nearly impossible to get time off in late December unless you request it in January and are lucky enough to be one of the two people allowed to have any given day off.
It's the constant state of now knowing what is happening from one day, one week, one month to another. It's the constant BS given to employees like nothing is going on. Even though you may not get let go, you have people you work with being let go so it makes it difficult. It makes it difficult because they aren't tell us nothing. Of course, they won't tell us a darn thing.
