Branch incentive pilot

Manager call was today. Any insight on what this looks like for the retail branch?

Most branch people know their jobs- I love when people come in and tell us how to do our job. The issue is - our support reads the policy we do - it’s all relative.

So there is an app to cash a check? I might be missing something but how does the app deliver the cash? I am pretty sure my phone does not contain a port for dispensing money.....

Back to the incentive pilot instead of nonsense. Any insights here?

A little context here - branch banking made the business decision to not provide medallion stamps anymore, which is what you were needing.

WFA business line still does for clients only.

Not sure what transpired after you filed claim with CFPB, but it sounds like you had a bad servicing experience so not really sure if that’s what they’re there for.

Sounds like the rep was doing the best they could to help you and didn’t know how to handle the situation. Sorry you had to waste time - agreed that many personal bankers have no idea what’s going on out there.

@vzk+1kcK8fFr We had cash to deposit, too. More than I would ever feel comfortable stuffing into an ATM.

The existence of an app is not a reason for the branch experience to be so terrible.

you don't realize you can cash a check using the app and avoid the branch all together. Another option is to cash it at the ATM.

Our branches feel like a government office. My wife banked with Wells. I didn’t.

We went in the branch to deposit a check one weekend. Horrible experience. It was so different from my credit union.

It was like visiting a jail or being the cattle at a slaughterhouse.

We moved all her money a few weeks later.

How about we teach the branch people their jobs and give them adequate support. I went into a WF branch to have a US Treasury form signed by a bank official as the Treasury requires. After 40 minutes of calls by the branch employee, I was told that WF does not sign such forms. Called US Treasury and they asked that I give them the bank officials name so they can correct them. After two hours bouncing around WF on the phone I couldn't even find anyone at WF that knew what the form was. Opened a case with CFPB at 9:37 am and a WF rep called me by noon. Still took over a week to get an answer and the form signed. Needed the same thing from little First CItizens Bank and was in and out in 15 minutes. Pathetic.
