Thread regarding Optum layoffs

I'm a former remote coder who requested time off prior to hiring. I have several chronic health conditions and my boss (not even based in this country, I believe) tried yanking them off my schedule because of "sweeps." That, and all the other BS, led me to quit.

I currently am! I was on a medical leave and now have an RTO exception for several weeks. You need a doctors note. Don't waste your time with Sedgwick - while I still did send the examiner my doctor's note, I had a less than 24 hour turnaround from opening a case on the employee center and uploading my doctor's note there. Zero issues - just wish I could extend it longer...

They do not question a valid medical reason. Not worth their time.

RTO is to get people to quit, not improve the company. If there is any chance they could get sued for failing to accommodate a disability or medical need, they will leave it be.

Get to the office before you get replaced. This isn't 1990 or 2000. If you can't work get govt help.

Yes but it depends on the medical condition and will require a medical note (ie. broken leg and unable to drive)
