Not a chance that I would save money by paying out the rear in taxes instead of the reasonable premiums that I'm currently paying.
The wait time does hold water. England, Canada, Australia, and others routinely experience insane wait times.
Nearly all medically necessary procedures are covered by HMO/PPO plans without needing authorization. Most prior auths are due to medications or procedures that are are medically sound but not necessary. Most people spend most of their lives not going through a lengthy pre-auth.
I don't have a Cadillac plan. Those don't exist at WF. There's just no way that going universal would be cheaper for me (or anyone else) with the same health plan. The reason why is because most people in the US do not pay income taxes. So the entirety of this country's healthcare costs would fall on (you guessed it) middle class, and middle class can't afford to carry unambitious or talentless people.
