Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Farley isn't giving up on EVs even if Model e bleeds more cash.

Ford + Renault partnership for new small EVs in Europe only and the vehicles are schedule to hit the market in 2028. Like the VW partnership for the EV Explorer and Capri really did well. Late to the game in a market already being oversaturated by China.

CE1 is going full bore, Farley did not mention much about the Skunk during the townhall. Maybe his sweater was too tight?

Hybrids an EREVS were mentioned, which is logical.

Does Ford really think they can beat China so late to the race? Verstappen cannot even win this one!

@ey I take it you don't like Apple Cobbler or conference rooms named after Star Wars characters.

@dd I work on the ce1 skunkworks project and stopped caring about trying to influence leadership 2 years ago. Fact is, they don’t care or want to listen and are empowering the wrong ppl in mid-level management. Lots of nepotism and ppl getting promoted just because they worked at Apple. Very secretive like Apple and the same level of backstabbing. I don’t feel like I work at Ford feels like tech bro culture and sh!t doesn’t stink with elite attitudes. Look on LinkedIn at some of the mid level leadership little to no experience and already a director or a ll5 with many reports. I’m looking for a new job because many of us are fearing a big layoff.

There is still a lot of money to launder through the EV scam.

They will deceive the customers and investors with their EVDD. which are not NEW modern architectures. They are patched up 90s

Sadly, I just left the company and retired because I couldn’t take the daily indoctrination from my ll5 and uppers about the direction the company was heading. Pushing a narrative of EVs dominating the world was sickening. No idea what products are left for future investment when all the money is being thrown at etransit, lightning #3, and the slate competitor.

The Sunk stinks. We've sunk billions and the launch date is nowhere in sight. The skunk got new buildings and huge paychecks, while Dearborn was called human waste and was outsourced to LCC.

If at first your EV wet dream fails……do it over again and again. Farley needs to move on to a Chicom job.

I have never heard of someone losing billions and keeping his million dollar job.

@bm Planned for next year? LADDERS.BIG TALL LADDERS. Like when fossil ful runs out and EVs rule. That's my plan. People can use them to keep their heads above water when the ice caps melt from global warming if ther is no fuel for the ships or if the ships are prone to sinking. Should I offer electric versions? My bad. Electricity an water are a bad mix. But. Billions to be made. BILLIONS! Maybe our government will subsidize ladders? You guys hiring in marketing? I AM AVAILABLE. Billions!

@bm
Exactly. We will sweep the newest Billion Dollar Blunder under the rug and blame the GSR's for not delivering.

@b2 Hey everybody. I just landed a job at a ship building company in the middle of Death Valley. I'm with Farley and the Ford family on EV markets. I'm praying for rain right this instant. When it comes, HUGE profits will come with it once these ships float and can move about. Billions in profits coming! BILLIONS! AHOY!

@ah Yes, he’s expensive, but he cares, and you can’t put a price on that.

The game is on to continue paying him 25 mil annually plus stock bonus to destroy Ford further. The whole California cartel was kicked out by former Apple and GM. They recognized who they were dealing with.
