Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Infinite is an AI training program. They feed every employee's keystroke to an AI system which uses the data to learn. eventually the AI will be able to replace employees entirely. This cannot be accomplished within the walls of Fiserv, therefore, a third party company must be utilized.

Temp or contract workers have zero rights and can be fired easy peasy with no downside

Are you sure Infinite was not created by Fiserv as a GCC? It may be have been made just to service Fiserv. Once Quantum AI arrives, offshoring of work to Indians will be not needed. So, the Indians will be suffering with job loss right along with their American counterparts.

@cm sure. Employees should be treated exactly like this in a capitalistic society, no? Who do you think you are? You worked ten years but you’re still Lowlowish in terms of ranking and are dispensable that’s why you’re let go.

@cc Honestly, F right off. I’m a 16 year employee, I show up big every day, I am proud of my work and my work ethic. I stood by Fiserv for more than a decade and they dumped me to a contracting firm when I couldn’t fill a chair for their TIF. I continue to show up every day in spite of the betrayal by Fiserv. I wonder what your story is?

Why shouldn’t the losers be let go? The stronger ones hang around and succeed.

@b4 What other clients does Infinite serve? Do you have the option to work for other customers under their umbrella? I believe it is just way for Fiserv to spin off employees long-term before they are eventually let go without paying severance/pto, etc. They also shield themselves from lawsuits as they people they are moving over have typically been with Fiserv for 10+ years. I'm sure there is an ageism angle to it. Why move your most experienced employees under a company that is no longer under your control? They save face with the clients be "retaining talent" but get rid of the older employees that they would have to pay 6 months severance, higher bonus pools, RSU's etc. What is the average age of people being moved under Infinite? I would bet you 80+% are over 50 years old and have 10+ years working for Fiserv.

@OP Infinite is not a temp agency and there may be room to grow within that company and away from Fiserv down the road
