What was the point of the meetings today? Nothing new shared. SVP one for downstream had a Q&A for entertainment.
What were some of your favourite quotes? "A Canadian company by and for Canadians" is surely top 3 of the day

Upstream SVP is a clueless robot.
@dj
Well, everyone knows the answer to that.
Yes, they did try to voluntarily offshore their jobs, but they realized that they're way too smart, and there work is way too important and sophisticated to be offshored to BTC.
Glad we could clarify this mystery 😆 🤣 😂 😹!!!!
In the Upstream session with CGS an entertaining question came up “did the project team consider replacing the senior management positions with the BTC?” That got everyone on the floor laughing out loud with a look of shock on CGS’s face.
The more we hear about this, the worse it gets. Back to global functional reporting, asset managers lose span of control, clearly no meaningful jobs to be had in Canada. Hard to believe that anyone on the fence in October is thinking this is going to end well if you go to Edmonton. CGS has been absolutely awful (but JW has been absent so I supposed she is at the very least showing up)
Q: “How can you reconcile the case for action for moving Calgary HQ to Edm for F2F collaboration, while not having F2F collaboration with Spring, BTC, GBCs, Sarnia, Nant, Cold Lake etc?”
A: “well we can’t move everywhere… so we picked a place”
Let's not forget we are being treated with respect and dignity, also thanks for looking after each other
What we've learned...
That's a good question
ummm.....+BS
No new information at any of the meetings. It was like a strange dystopian job fair
Did you not get the message, "We care about you, and we feel your pain. But you are getting PIP-ed!!"
