Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Seriously - when is the next layoff coming?

I am miserable in my new role, the new office environment, and the new (poor) attitude that seems to come from every senior manager. I'm planning to quit, but if the next layoff isn't too far off it may be smarter for me to wait. Does anyone have reliable information as to when the next one might be?

It can't happen soon enough. Please give me one more chance to get out!

in ABU just be a manager, they'll look after you with a bat fat wad of easy money. the chance increases if you're a mediocre/poor performer.

Layoffs have been every 5 years. If you are miserable keep yourself sane by looking for next role. Next round of layoffs will most likely be 1/2 of Houston HQ population. Getting people to quit to pay less severance will be the next game plan. Buckle up.

They'll announce it in 1st half of 2026 which means round one will be end of the year 2027

Quit or laid off either ways. You still will show same result to another company. Good luck finding that easy job allowing A.I. do your work and expecting to do nothing. Yeah have fun with that.
