Half of the work to do and the jobs for life agreement, I’m sure everything will be ok.
Yeah maybe but Vena still has a near straight uphill battle for this merger. The paperwork filing for the merger has been delayed twice already I think, plus the objections from other RR's and government officials is already flowing in. Vena can pay off anyone he wants, but the STB and whoever else is going to grill him during the questioning phase of the merger. Remember, the STB has to approve the merger! The UP just suffered yet another fatality in its network, yet the UP claims it's on track to be the safest RR. I find that a bit hard to believe considering the number of larger derailments that's been occuring. The number of layoffs at the UP in the past will be questioned that Vena will have to answer for this time. I really wouldn't worry too much about the possibility of larger layoffs occurring, at least I won't be! Vena is just trying to portray the UP as a state of the art business. The UP is a time bo-b right now! Vena has no idea what he's doing and I think the world is truly going to see how full of sh1t he really is real soon!!!
Literally posted about this earlier, they are also going to eliminate 4 year signal relay testing and 10 year signal cable testing, ALL ABOARD the CUT TRAIN!!!!!!!!
