Sitting around chilling basically doing no work. Hopeing to get a nice severance befor I retire. Im su-king the life out of this company!
Awaiting surplus declaration/layoff, meanwhile doing the very least amount of work without getting fired. We have so many ways to get off work and still getting paid. We all know we're inevitably going to be laid off but it's great being under union contract with all the nice protections and generous termination package. Of course it's understandable for non-union employees to resent this and have all kinds of negative stuff to say but the bottom line is that any reasonable person would rather have more $$ paid to them upon leaving the company rather than less. So say whatever makes you feel better but when we're all eventually laid off, I get more $$ than my manager gets. Plus I get education/training money and more.
What’s the strategy to get laid off but not to get fired?
I am dreaming about being laid off and getting my termination package of 104 weeks pay per our contract.
It WILL happen to the MAJORITY of us, if you stay around long enough.
Just a matter of time!
give me 2 years of severance and i am out of here to save a young persons job.
