2026 Capex allocations are now of public domain.
Absolute zero reference of Argentina, which can be interpreted in 2 ways:

  • next divestiture candidate
  • idling at minimum for the next few years until the Permian peaks and start to decline.

Curious to know your opinions.

CVX got bloated after accelerate downstream all the way till 2020
from 2020 - 2025, trimming the fat
still have a few more rounds to go before we stabilise

I could see myself wanting a vacation in Argentina at company expense, but would be extremely happy to see Bangalore disappear into a sea of nuclear fire. I hope the latter goes first.

I heard there are plans to pick up a 2nd rig in Argentina. So...either that's no longer happening or you're freaking out for nothing.
