Unless you're planning to try and come back as a contractor you should have checked out the day you were notified.
@OP So turn your laptop in tomorrow.
@OP & All - Sorry you're in this position.
Here's something I can across earlier on the site that I found helpful.

Wish you the best with your next steps.
OP you should look into going on short-term disability. You need a doctor to do the paperwork and diagnose you with depression and anxiety. This health condition would be completely understand. Understandable after losing your job.
I’m in such a bad mental state. I can’t imagine being asked to continue working for the company that heartlessly laid me off!
I feel your pain and am very sorry for your situation. The more-n-more I review my own situation, I realize what a fool I was to buy-in to the V-Teamer concept. I sacrificed my health and valuable time for Vz and am now left with little. Meanwhile, less qualified team mates survived.
Holy sh-t. They should have just asked you to transition your projects the day of your lay off, do hand over and be done with it!
I would be like "I'd love to help you with this code, but I'm too stupid. Remember? You fired me because I'm too stupid. I really don't think I should be trusted to touch one of these computer thingy's"
They >13K of us go. If they needed our help, they shouldn't have laid us off.
