Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Animal Farm

"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others,"

This quote best summarizes how I would describe BNY.

Took a new role at another bank but wanted to say thanks for those who posted on here to help others.

I’m gonna miss the devoid and detached emails from Emily as she rammed a company pillar up our cheeks each Monday morning.

I’m gonna miss how they built an office with features we can’t afford because wages didn’t come close to keeping up with inflation and any merit raise covered the cost of health insurance increases.

Keep your heads up if you are still trying to get out. And remember, buy Bitcoin. Or if Robin has his way, Malaysian bonds.

@e9 I think she’s coming to Orlando for the holiday party at the Orlando Science Center. Like last year I imagine she will be hanging out with the other cold blooded reptiles on display from the EC attendees.

I was forced out 7 months ago. Boy it was the best thing my sh---y spineless useless mo--nic id--tic foolish incompetent manager did to me. I got another job in a better company with better pay and way better team members. BNY is the worst company to work, hope other people leave also. They don’t deserve to have talented hard working employees

Escaped from there a year ago today. Trust us escapees, life is always better on the outside. F BNY and their arrogant and non-visionary, totally lackluster, leadership. Want to know what strategy BNY will be trying 10 years from now? It’s whatever what other financial firms are doing today, as long as it includes expense cutting

Totally sympathetic to this. Thank you.
I liken myself to ‘Boxer’ the old work horse that the pi.gs sold to the knackers despite all his help in their rebellion and rise to power. Unlike Boxer, I have NOT outlived my usefullness and value. And I hope these pi.gs will give me a severance package so I can semi retire, take 6-12 months off, then rejoin a smaller more professional, appreciative firm that can use a good strong, well experienced old ‘cab horse’
