AT&T need lo layoff,any employees that refuse to go back to the office,the company will not be able to compete ,wh-t lots of employees no working the full 8 hrs ,while sleeping late 5days a week.
Legg claimed they looked at organizations that were split among locations/time zones/etc and seemed to imply that if the majority of your "team" [sic] is in the same location, they'll want you to come in. Otherwise, he agreed it makes no sense for someone to go to an office to be on the same video call they could be doing from home.
I can't believe we are talking about this again. If you don't want to go back in, find a new job. And for the jealous folks who can work from home, find another job. Grow up

The punchline, of course, is that there are very few teams operating within T in which everyone is at the same location. Most teams have members scattered across states and time-zones, so meetings and collaboration has to happen remotely.
This idea that in-person is needed to increase productivity and collaboration is prima facie false.
If T wants people back in the office that's fine. They just need to stop trying to justify it with clear and obvious lies.
Maybe this is fine for people at HQ or near one of the other hubs. My location where I live have torn furniture and an office that hasn't been remodeled since the 1980's. There is hazardous mold and dust all over the AC vents. I get very sick from the dust and allergens in the office. If lunch is desired outside of what one brings, hope you enjoy a frozen dinner or a gas station sandwich. If you want your people back in the office, maybe you could make the office a little more inviting.

I work WAY more hours at home than going in to the office contrary to what folks may think. Although I do miss going in to the office occasionally that is purely to talk to co/workers and socialize, which some say makes us collaborate more and increases productivity. Some of that may be true if you’re working on a project but generally I find that people standing around talking about their kids etc. is a distraction for me. I get both sides of this deal there has to be a balance to make it work, but those that argue purely that WFH folks are screwing off don’t see the big picture.
The #1 reason for the RTW policy is maximizing worker productivity. Too many employees are unavailable and offline when WFH.
