Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Definitely more layoffs coming in December?

It would make sense. The round on the 20th didn’t seem to hit 15K. If that’s true, good luck to everyone. I’m also not convinced this will be the last. I’ve kind of accepted that this whole job feels temporary at this point. I just can’t stress about it anymore, I don’t have the energy left.

“-This round of cuts was intended to lower costs and boost productivity. The next phase will focus on management restructuring and achieving operational synergies (with Frontier), targeting around a 10% reduction, with an estimated 5% of roles potentially being rehired. Vendor are expected to be reduced by approximately 80%.”

Yeah, the vibe is India employees next week and that's it for the month.

I would guess they hit the 13k and for every person that makes a noise there's 9 that don't. I anticipate I'd be quiet so that I wasn't pushed to finish any work lol

Not sure about December, but more layoffs will definitely be coming. Sounds like Dan wants to make them a regular thing going forward.

At its peak, the company had 260,000 employees. Now it has less than 90,000. This is not a growing company. It’s a shrinking company.
