@1g5 you lose the unvested.
If you are laid off and still have unvested RSUs, will they make that part of your package?
Until there is a ki-ler app or something to be excited about, there will be layoffs.

Does anyone know what teams and regions will be effected? I assume it’s next week?

All of this is sad
Before Christmas, there is a round prepared. Also, anyone rated not meeting expectations will be let go based on performance before Jan 1 with two weeks of pay only.
I know of at least two teams impacted by layoffs within the last few weeks, one individual early this past week. Surgical (and below-the-radar) reductions seem like the new normal.
TL;DR: They never really stop.
