This is my last thanksgiving as an employee. Effectively retiring in January. There’s been many ups and downs throughout the years and friends that have come and gone. Though it’s not the place and environment I started with I’d do it all over again. Good luck to those that are left with the upcoming changes, I hope it works out for the best when it’s all said and done.
If I have any advice..:.don’t dwell on what you think could happen down the road. Work and live in the now and someday you wake up 37 years later and it’s all behind you.

I'm number 10! I'm number 10!
Happy new year to all and hope everyone going to new spin off goes well. Just remember there is work out there that pays as well and vacation is negotiable. Also, better healthcare, 401k and some offer pensions.
I retired at 56 33 years and took another Telcom outside tech job making the same money and get another pension and better benefits and profit sharing. Took the monthly pension and can’t be happier! No numbers no gps and great group of guys and a boss that’s actually done the field technician job. Good luck to all, miss some of my co workers but nothing else!
I am retired at Lumen mentally also while still employed. Just do bare minimum and tell boss always busy when new stuff come up cuz new Director ain’t got a clue who is doing what. Away from desk for hours. Feels like retirement.
@OP I think for many of us it was our last thanksgiving"
