Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Feeling a bit better made it thru My director told me I should be good next round of layoffs

So we have all been stressed but made it thru .I am feeling better since my director told me I should be ok the next round of rifs after the frontier merger. He said we all may have to pick up the extra slack but it will show we are value.

"Pick up extra slack usually means doing your ex-boss’s job for half the pay" - @a9
I can't take on any more slack.
A man has his limits, and I'm slacking full time as it is.
I need those other slackers.

"we were told we will be carrying a much bigger load .I really don’t know how much more load they can give me" - @b4
Who sent such a large load your way?
Just su-k it up and do your job.

LMAO. Your Director has zero clue about the number of people being laid off in the coming rounds as well as not knowing how deep the cuts will be.

If you believe that, with all due respect, you’re an id--t. No one is safe at their jobs anymore—you just happened to make it through this round. It’s hard to believe that you would actually believe that!

My Sr Director had an all hands call 2 weeks prior to the notification day. Told us that yes, layoffs were coming but assured us that none of us will be affected. I'm reviewing my package now...

@OP we’re all going to save this post to see how long you actually survive in the VZ squid game.

Not to burst your bubble, but your Director doesn’t even know if they’re on the chopping block themselves. Don’t get too comfortable, be prepared for the worst possible scenario, that never hurts.

@a2 STFU

Nobody cares about anyone's feeling but their own. Trying to live your life where your every expression must take into account the myriad feelings and sensitivities of every simpering weakling around you is only workable if you live your life to catch other people in imaginary social errors. You're a humorless scold.

Pi-s off, hall monitor.

This post makes me hate Verizon and the people involved in giving the names to be laid off. If the intention is to hurt the people with good intention, karma is real.

Insensitive post. @OP, you’re saying all the laid off people were not valued then
