Thread regarding Kroger Co. layoffs

Let them know we aren’t happy

encourage people to push back on the RTO. I took some time this week and wrote letters to the board and upper management. I stated why I think RTO is not the right move and provided evidence proving that remote work is better for the company and employee in the long run.

They might not care about one letter but I think we all should be giving this feedback. Be factual but also explain how it is affecting your life negatively.

Emails are easy to ignore but tons of letters arriving to corporate will get noticed.

Ron is interim so maybe if we all show our displeasure we can get some changes made.

We have to go beyond complaining to other another and our immediate supervisor.

If anyone is interested I would be happy to share the studies I submitted.

I could be delusional but what could we lose?

I'm glad you're hopeful, but I don't think this is worth your time. They don't care that you're not happy. They wouldn't care if you dropped dead. In fact it seems making people unhappy so they quit willingly without severance is part of why they're even doing this. I'm sure they're glad to hear you're not happy.

At the end of the day, there's some person in India who'd jump at the opportunity to take your job for a fraction of the pay and endure whatever Kroger wants them to. So management doesn't care that you're unhappy and is just waiting for enough of us to throw in the towel until they meet whatever number they're trying to hit.

My advice is to stop caring. Give this company your bare minimum to not get fired and make them hurt for how they've hurt us. Or if you think you could find another job, just don't come in. Make them fire you. They don't want to do that, they want you to quit.

Anyways good luck. I'm sorry you're dealing with this bs too.

The RTO policy was implemented out of fear.
Fear they can’t control associates.
Fear of getting pressured by cities over taxes.
Fear of what Wall Street thinks.

I’m not saying don’t write letters and raise your voices, no one should sit in silence. But our leaders are so fearful to go against the grain, nothing will change. It’s rather sad.

Tell me your method of sending them letters. I’ll try it out.

Companies don't care about employees. You could vote with your feet and work at a better place.
