Thread regarding Kroger Co. layoffs

FC’s Closing, how many impacted l?

With today’s announcement, is there any estimate how many people are losing their jobs?

This is insane.

"We're going to take a $2.6B charge now to save $400MM next year."
That code word for, "Our strategy was so bad, we spent $2.6B to lose $400MM/year, and we're just now acknowledging it."
Remember this the next time you have a raise discussion and your manager says that Kroger only earns "one penny for every dollar of sales."

These FCs cost hundreds of millions to build. They were expected to last decades. This is such a huge failure in leadership, people should be fired over this

@OP it's mind boggling how many catastrophic failures Yael can make, and how much money he can waste, and still have a job.
Payroll rollout issues, seamless ship, and now the automated fulfillment centers that he touted as cutting edge not long ago.
Oh well, he can cover up the money wasted by laying off more people who were brave enough to disagree with him.
