Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Can Anyone Confirm This?

I've been with Aetna for 7 years in Network; been given more territories to manage while no direct reports or any additional support to manage the inflow.. for example, I have 50 contracts to complete, yet receive 20 emails per day asking me to complete tasks that are emergencies.. I am months behind even if I wanted to catch up, I would work 24 hours a day 7 days a week with no hope.. every year gets worse.. I have essentially given up.. Is anyone else in this same boat? Upper management also is a joke.. those who su-k the best di-k get promoted regardless of their abilities.. It's laughable..

It’s definitely the norm. Also are told promotions are frozen for our department and then a few days later they announce a promotion to the same role I was told was frozen

@m6

As an alumni of the company. I hope my former team misses me. The same ones who worked me to near death during covid.

I get paid more for less stress. Plus 5 weeks vacation now.

@re And THAT is exactly the problem at both CVS and Aetna.

Quantity over quality. That’s how they roll!

Aetna has been abusing employees for decades. It's a layoff machine and could not care less about you. Take their money while you look for another job.

Well. VP are gonna VP and ED are gonna ED.
I mean they could do all the filing, coding, bid submissions, adequacy testing and earn what they are paid for a change.

You are definitely not alone. They are doing it in compliance too. Dumping stuff that isn’t compliance but people got cut so they just dump it somewhere. I think it’s company wide.

Laying off people from Aetna was a huge mistake. The whole business is based on Federal and State deadlines.... Dates don't change, but yep upper management never did anything and yep..

If you're su-king co-k...you're still there.

@OP this happened to me. Could not get my work done due to tasks outside my job description. I think they do it to manipulate performamce. And if you fall behind, they PIP you

You’re certainly not alone. It’s the same in the clinical appeals dept. They love to abuse the employees that are except from overtime. Always more and more work with no care for their employees well-being.
